Joseph's Coat Quilt Along

This weekend I had the chance to start on my first block for the Joseph's Coat Quilt Along that Kellie at Don't Look Now is leading. I've not yet sewn down all my pieces but I enjoyed choosing my fabrics and arranging the pieces so much that I wanted to share my progress so far. I'm not sure I'll be keeping up with the keenest students, but I will plod along at my own pace enjoying the process as well as the result.

Most of my quilts are fairly bright so it's been great fun (and a challenge) digging through fabric collected over the last 10 years and picking out more subtle colours and prints. The quilt will be for my spare room so I want it to be restful and serene.
